After 10 days in Mexico City we took things slower and based in the town of Valladolid to explore the ancient site of Chichen Itza and swim in some Cenotes.

Guanajuato is one of Mexico’s prettiest town. Whilst the town is usually fairly quiet, our visit coincided with a massive festival and we experienced a Mexican fiesta. We also made a brief stop over in San Miguel de Allende, a picture perfect town an hour away from Guanajuato.

While most tourists to Mexico head straight to the beach we started out in Guadalajara – Mexico’s second biggest city. Guadalajara offers great food (too good?), interesting architecture, a friendly vibe and the very entertaining Lucha Libre wrestling. An awesome introduction to Mexico!
